During our consultation, we'll schedule a relaxed, 60-minute discovery meeting at your home. We can chat about your family's lifestyle and how you envision your garden fitting into it. We can discuss your current gardening experience, any challenges you're facing, and the goals you have for your outdoor space. As part of the consultation, I'll conduct a thorough assessment of your garden's current state. This includes analyzing your soil health to identify any nutrient deficiencies or imbalances, evaluating the condition of your existing plants for signs of stress or disease, and observing sunlight exposure to determine optimal planting locations. Based on this assessment, I'll offer tailored suggestions for improvement, which may include soil amendments, plant replacements, or adjustments to your garden layout. Following our visit, you'll receive a comprehensive, personalized follow-up plan. This plan will contain specific recommendations and actionable steps designed to boost your garden's overall health and productivity. These steps may involve implementing organic gardening practices, introducing companion planting strategies, or incorporating water-wise irrigation techniques. The goal is to provide you with a clear roadmap to creating a thriving and sustainable garden that aligns with your vision and lifestyle.

We'll delve into your family's lifestyle, your gardening experience (or lack thereof!), and the reasons behind your desire for guidance. This is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for me to gain a deep understanding of your unique needs, goals, and aspirations for your kitchen garden. Next, I'll introduce you to the core principles of the Gardenary approach to growing. We'll discuss the importance of nurturing your soil and selecting the right plants for the right time of year. We'll also explore your garden design dreams, taking into account your budget and personal style. To spark your imagination, we'll browse through a collection of inspiring garden photos and pinpoint the aesthetics that resonate with you. The final part of our meeting will take us outdoors for a 20-30 minute stroll through your yard. We'll assess the sunlight conditions and identify the most suitable location(s) for your kitchen garden, considering factors such as sun exposure, existing landscape features, and proximity to a water source. I'll take measurements of the chosen space, mark a rough outline, and capture some photos for future reference. Following our visit, I'll craft a kitchen garden design tailored to your specific needs and preferences. This design will incorporate the insights gathered during our meeting and will reflect your desired aesthetic and functional requirements. Additionally, I'll prepare a clear and comprehensive proposal outlining the estimated cost of materials.
